Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Iain Stephenson of Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Each month we invite you to get to know one of our customers a little better. Time to introduce Iain Stephenson of Yorkshire Sculpture Park. YSP is world renowned for modern and contemporary sculpture. It was the first sculpture park in the UK and the largest of its kind in Europe. Home to significant collections of work including Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ai Weiwei, Miro and Andy Goldsworthy. Iain’s role at the park is to oversee the installations of incredible collections from all over the world. A job not for the faint hearted considering the rarity and challenging aspects of the sheer weight, size and value of the works on display. You can get a glimpse of what’s involved if you take a look at YSP’s Facebook page this week as they install Damien Hirst’s Virgin Mother.

For anyone planning a trip to the mill for a measuring, you can combine it with a visit to YSP – it’s just 45 minutes away and would give you a chance to stretch your legs and your mind whilst you experience world class sculpture in the stunning surroundings of the Yorkshire countryside.
