Introducing our first half panama jackets

These new styles make the perfect travel jackets with their generous pockets and nod to that sartorial classic – the Safari Jacket which you will either adore or abhor in equal measure. Made from cotton half panama cotton which is naturally highly breathable and perfect for warmer weather and Autumn/Spring.

The men’s Savannah Jacket and Women’s Coast jackets are all made to order on a 2-3 week lead-time for off-the-peg or 6 weeks for made to measure (still no extra cost).

This finest half panama material is 100% cotton which is then improved with our PlasmaDry finish to give water and stain repellency without using harmful fluorocarbons.

The cloth is woven with two warp yarns over each weft which results in a fine, soft textured surface. The panama name probably also refers to the straw weave used in the much loved Panama Hat. There’s more surface interest than a standard weave yet the cloth retains an incredible soft handfeel and wonderful drape. The construction also helps reduce wrinkling which makes it an ideal in-between season travel jacket. The material despite its density feels cool and there’s also an undeniable effortless coolness when you don this icon.
