Heavy weight finest grade virgin merino lambswool
The virgin merino is the warmest, softest and thickest shirt we could make. This is a piece of proper, painstakingly developed Yorkshire cloth. (It’s woven, milled, dyed, spun and finished all within 10 miles of our home in Slaithwaite). The internal face of the fabric is raised for extra softness and thermal efficiency. If you want our most luxurious, warmest shirt – the virgin merino is the one for you.
Available in Charcoal, Arctic Silver and Slawit Blue.
Mid weight finest grade virgin merino lambswool
More suitable as a mid layer, for milder weather, and time in towns, our mid weight shirt is slightly thinner and isn’t raised on the inside face of the fabric. The fabric is woven, spun and milled with our partners within a ‘stones throw’ or two of the McNair Atelier. It’s warmth levels would be comparable to a heavy weight fleece but because of the processing the woven fabric goes through, it is far more weather resistant.
Available in Charcoal, Arctic Sliver and Slawit Blue.
PlasmaDry™ Corduroy
The natural look and feel of corduroy with unnatural levels of performance. PlasmaDry™ turns traditional cord into a beautiful performance fabric.
Available in Slate Grey, Deep Navy and Sisal.
PlasmaDry™ Moleskin
Moleskin has always been both soft and rugged, now it’s supercharged with our water repelling fabric treatment PlasmaDry™.
Available in Stone, Deep Navy and Light Khaki.
Choose your fit
Athletic
The McNair fit is slim and active – quite close around the body and arms to avoid flapping fabric with space carefully engineered around the shoulders and elbows. This cut has been conceived to allow a full, free range of movement whilst still keeping fabric close to the core of the body – preventing heat loss. This combination of a slimmer body and a tailored shoulder block also has another advantage – you’ll look Savile Row sharp.
Made to measure
We can custom alter the length of the arms and body to give you the perfect length for, er, you. We also offer a full made to measure service. Call or e-mail Natalie and she’ll help you work out what will work best for you. Her number at the Atelier in Slaithwaite is 01484 846666

Choose your length
Standard
The standard length is just a little bit longer than the shirts you have in your wardrobe, so it’ll work as an overshirt. Perfect for everyday use.
Long
The long length is 3 inches longer in the body and 2 inches longer on the arm; it’s perfect for snowsports – it won’t ride up, it’ll keep your posterior nice and warm, stop snow from sneaking down your trousers and the cuffs will partially cover your gloves.
Delivery
It you’re ordering a standard size, and we have stock, we’ll dispatch your shirt the working next day. Otherwise we’ll make each shirt as it’s ordered and paid for, please allow two weeks for this. We’ll keep you informed if this changes.
Thanks for your patience so far, we weren’t going to release any shirts until we were sure that we had met the challenge of making the best mountain shirts in the world. And we’re sure the wait for your shirt will be worth it – it’s a thing of beauty.
