The perfect everything, #worneverywhere shirt – our midweight merino shirt is slightly thinner than our heavy weight shirts and isn’t raised on the inside face of the fabric. Perfect for about town, sundown warmth for a camping trip, festivals, days outside or just about anything. The merino fabric is woven, spun and milled with our partners within a ‘stones throw’ or two of the McNair Atelier in Yorkshire. It’s warmth levels would be comparable to a heavyweight fleece but because of the processing the woven fabric goes through, it is far more weather resistant.
Great news if you're ordering Charcoal or Black - both these colours are made from our Provenance Merino, which is fully-traceable from sheep to shirt.

Merino can do many wonderful things for you. And one of its best properties is keeping you at the right temperature. So it will insulate you from cold and it’s also brilliant at making sure you don’t over heat when the sun starts to show its face – another reason our midweight merino shirt will become your everything shirt.

I road tested my McNair Mid Weight Mountain shirt in Zermatt. Conditions on the ski slopes ranged from -21 with additional 84kph winds to a balmy +7. I used my shirt as a mid layer between a merino baselayer and a lightly insulated jacket. Heaven. The shirt moves with you, keeps you warm when the winds are up, and cool when the sun is out. It also feels great sitting in a bar with a t shirt and jeans.
