The McNair made to measure Mountain Jacket in finest grade virgin heavy weight merino.

Our first proper jacket. With all the features of our classic Mountain Shirt combined with a longer length and a more generous cut to accommodate more layers, it’s the perfect companion for the coolest months. There are 2 large chest pockets and 2 generous jetted hip pockets. Each pocket has a flap to keep the contents dry as well as keeping out the draught. The hip pockets are lined with the raised side of our unique fabric so they are sure to keep your hands warm too. Produced in the finest grade virgin merino and lovingly made to order in Yorkshire.

Available in Charcoal*, Dark Sage, Slawit Blue, Arctic Silver, Heather, Camel, Ash Melange, and Rosewood.

After several times asking for a Mountain Shirt with pockets, McNair shortly came up with the Moonraker Jacket. I must have been not the only one with this wish (!) and decided to order immediately. The result is a Mountain Shirt on stereoids. The added generous sized handwarming pockets and inside drop in pockets makes it super versatile: from town to ski piste: this jacket rocks. It has a wide useable temperature range, can withstand light rain for an hour easily and is reasonable windproof. Since I’m a size large in shoulders and a medium in waist, want long enough sleeves and room in the chest/shoulders for skiing and being fuzzy about the length, a ‘made to measure’ is the way to go. McNair nailed all these aspects with immaculate stitching and finishing. Got a lot of compliments for looking sharp and cool. 5 Stars plus, I would say.
