They’re not called Mountain Shirts for nothing

Montage of McNair Mountain Shirts being worn in the mountains and on the slopes

Sometimes we get asked, “but you don’t really wear them in the mountains, do you?”

Let’s hand it over to some of our customers to answer that…

Britt
“I am wearing the shirt today in super snowy weather. I have to admit this shirt is the best that I have ever worn. I only wear a simple layer underneath and it keeps me extremely warm. Thank you and keep up the good work!”

Ian
“I am loving my Mountain Shirt, I am currently skiing for the season in the French Alps and the shirt is simply fantastic; warm but avoiding the ‘boil-in-the-bag’ feeling you can get while active in the outdoors. In a lifetime of outdoor adventure this may be the best bit of kit I have used.”
Ian
Peter
“I road tested my McNair midweight Mountain Shirt in Zermatt. Conditions on the ski slopes ranged from -21 with additional 84kph winds to a balmy +7. I used my shirt as a mid layer between a merino baselayer and a lightly insulated jacket. Heaven. The shirt moves with you, keeps you warm when the winds are up, and cool when the sun is out. It also feels great sitting in a bar with a t shirt and jeans.”
Peter

“The shirt has been incredible! I’ve had it in Canada on a skiing trip, and the temperature was -20!”
Huw
Giles
“The shirt arrived in Switzerland and is great. The fit is great over my ski back protector so I will be skiing in it next season…”
Giles
Kristian
“Thank you for such a great product. It is what I hoped it would be, and then some. Right now we have -16 Celsius and cold winds, and the shirt handles these conditions better than my RAB down. And it looks stylish as well. All the best from Norway!”
Kristian
Gideon
“I’ve been wearing the new arrival for the past couple of days. Temperatures of between -5 to -12. Very comfortable. Really like it.”
Gideon
Graeme
“Just back from a week snowboarding in Austria, from being in whiteout to up to my nuts in powder the shirt performed flawlessly, beats a plastic jacket hands down every time…”
Graeme
David
“Wear mine in the slopes constantly. Keeps you at a fantastic temp when worn over a good base layer. Protects from the wind amazingly. And remember, snow isn’t wet….. so it doesn’t leak. And looks mint down the pub after…”
David
